Established by E.B Danielson and his son, the MECCA Theater opened on Easter Sunday, 1932. It was the first theater in Russell, KS. Offering 6,796 sq. ft, there are endless possibilities for this historic and iconic building. The original lobby proudly displays its vintage appeal in the art deco ceiling, glass signage and deep blue hinged doors providing access and anticipation to all the excitement waiting inside. Art Deco design was one of history's most enduring and stylistic. Although its heyday is long past, Art Deco left behind a number of monuments to its reign - most notably in architectural feats such as this building. Multiple retail spaces allow for entrepreneurs to develop a synergy of products and services like no other - and provide incubator spaces for testing the market. Two storefront locations have their own street side entrances as well as access to the interior of the building. The second floor provides a birds eye view of the main level and opportunities for long or short term residential living. The building has been undergoing needed repairs and improvements the last few years and is ready and waiting for the new owner!
